Patty Jo Shannon CD (1977-1992) biography of the greatest dog ever!!  The history of Patty Jo is difficult to summarize.  She lived for over 15 years and kept her "spunk" till almost the very end.  She actually fought a raccoon in her 15th year of life!!  Her entire life was spent enjoying the outdoors.  She loved to run with me on 4-5 mile jogs.  A great swimmer, she loved to chase sticks in the water and dig for muskrats along the banks of ponds.  She was always at my side and was the most affectionate dog I have ever seen.  On her 12th year of life I was introduced to the obedience circle and was encourage to train Patty.  Early in her 13th year of life she had three dogs shows in a row where she earned her CD TITLE!!!!!   In two of her dog shows she took home first place. I began to increase my number of dogs as Patty aged.  It is now sad for me to remember how I forgot to pay attention to her more in the end.  My new dogs gave me so much to do and her last years is somewhat blank to me.  I will never make that mistake again with an older dog.  Patty was my first golden and will always be my favorite!!  She has her line alive and in place.  Her pedigree will live on and she has left me with some outstanding genes to continue.  I thank you Patty Jo Shannon.  You were the best, so you will always have your characteristics and charm living somewhere.
