Love on the internet? Yeah, right! True love that sweeps you off your feet? Heard it was nice when it happens! Ok, now that you know the feelings I had in June of 1997, I will continue on with this story of how "It all started with an email".

I had just become separated from my husband (now ex-husband). Believe me, I was no more looking for a relationship than I would be looking forward to getting teeth pulled. It just kinda happened. See, I had put up a web page many moons ago. Just the typical beginners page about who I was and what I did, yadda yadda yadda. That was it. One of the things I had listed on it was that I loved playing the card game Magic. Well, one night in June, I received an email from some guy calling himself Comdrone. When I read the email, all it said was to check out his page and that he must sleep. Ok, so..whatever! It was almost three o'clock in the morning so I went and checked out his page. WOW! His bio interested me immediately. So, before I even finished reading his page, I wrote him an e-mail telling him that I would love to get together and play Magic with him sometime. Also, I wanted to tell him that I was now separated from my husband (he was separated from his wife).

We continued chatting via email, then phone, then eventually icq and very rarely (when needed) irc. Things really went well between us. About one week after we met online, it was time to meet. We met at a local McDonalds and things really went wild from there. We ordered the same food, found we enjoyed the same music, authors...etc. It was like we were meant to meet.

When lunch was over, I gave him a hug. I couldn't help it. Driving away and to my mother's house, I felt all these feelings that I had never felt. I felt that I had met my true soulmate. Scared me actually to feel like this towards anyone!

Within the next couple weeks after our meeting, we both discovered how much we were attracted to each other and spent all our time togehter. Going singing, to the beach, everywhere, nowhere.

We had a short time in the late fall/right before winter started and we split up. It was the most painful time in either of our lives. This time apart however, made us both realize how much in love we are with one another. We got back together right before Christmas... what a wonderful Christmas it was. Seeing him with my two kids, happy... knowing how happy he is, how happy I am and how happy the kids are made it the first good Christmas for me in years!

We just went on a trip to TN where his grandparents (now there is a couple who are truely in love) live. He took me on this mountain where his grandparents had a house for sale. We pulled into the driveway and got out of his truck. As soon as we did, we noticed two eagles in flight. How beautiful...free! Matt held me while we stared at the beauty of the great birds in flight.

I love this man so much! We are planning on getting married this June in the mountains of TN. Yes, it all started with an email.
