A Mothers Day Tribute

I want to write a Tribute this special Mothers Day.
A tribute to mothers that are near and those so far away.
Its the intuition of a special inherited breed we find
Only a mother could be so patient loving and kind.

To a child like myself when I whimpered and whined
Patience was a virtue a good mother could certainly find
With a mothers guidance and the will in her - says - hold on,
We have her to thank for all the progress weve shown.

My own loving mother is a young old -fashioned kind.
She has those special talents inbreed back in time.
The kind of talent that I continually strive to find
To sew a fashionable up-to-date modern design.

Im honoring now the mother of my husband Jim.
To her all the credit I owe for successfully training him.
She instilled special qualities within his patient mind.
He has all the values of a man that is especially kind.

To our oldest daughter with her first one year-old son.
She gets a smile and approval from everyone.
She is a good mother with patience and pride.
Her son will grow with a loving mother by his side.

To our youngest daughter who has sons of three.
She has her own mind and lives independently.
Now she knows all the proper things to say and do.
She confidently says Mom Im O. K. and I love you.

My thanks to the mother who married our son
She always has a special smile for everyone.
Bless her heart on her you can depend
Shes always ready to lend a hand and join in.

To my mentor of Saint Maryof-the-Woods
Shes a good mother and does what she should.
She has education and knows all the college scoops.
She gives me encouragement and tells me the loops.

A special message to my cousins and friends dear
I want to thank their mothers for them being here.
Its wonderful having good friends year after year
Now its time to be thankful and give them a cheer.

There are those other mothers we hold especially dear.
They laid the groundwork but they are no longer here.
We pay tribute to them - all their own in an infinite tone.
Its up to us now to be patient loving and bold.

The loss must be painful for those with mothers gone on
We have the special moments of the love they have shown
God blesses us with the memories, we can cherish and hold
Its up to us now to carry on  - the future is waiting - to unfold.
