Mr. Vernon Dursley-He is Harry's uncle and has taken him in after Harry's parents were killed by Voldermort! He is considered the worst muggle in the world!

Mrs. Petunia Dursley-She is Harry's uncle and is Harry's mother's sister. She dislikes the her sister in ever way because she is jealous of her! She is considered the worst muggle in the world!

Mrs. Lily Potter-She is Harry's mom and died saving him from Voldermort. She is Mrs. Petunia Dursley's sister. She was from the Gryffindor

Mr. James Potter-He is Harry's Potter and was killed fighting Voldermort. He was in the Gryffindor House and was on the house Quidditch Team!

Harry Potter-He is what the whole book series is about. His parents were brutaly attacked by the horrible wizard Voldermort and then Voldermort tried to kill him, but failed! He was sent to live with his horrid aunt and uncle, not to mention Dudley! He was sorted into the Gryffindor House and also has a cruse scar on his head in the shape of the lightning bolt.

Dudley Dursley-He is Harry's cousin and is very large! He is very spoiled and likes to fake cry and have tantrums. He also likes to beat up Harry in his free time at school!

Man wearing a violet cloak-Uncle Vernon walked into him as he was walking fast away from work! He told Uncle Vernon about Voldermort's downfall!

Jim McGuffin-He is the weatherman that is mention on the muggle-news that night while Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia are watching the news!

Ted-He is the newsman on the muggle-news that introduces Jim McGuffin.

Albus Dumbledore-He is said to be one of the greatest wizards of his time and is currently Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! He is rumored to have been in the Gryffindor House when he was at Hogwarts...do you think so?

Professor McGonagall-She is one of the Professors at Hogwarts and is Head of the Gryffindor House. She is also and Anigmus, she turns into a cat.

Dedalus Diggle-He is mention alot in the beginning of the book. He was the one who was said to be responsible for the shooting stars in Kent, was also the one who bowed to Harry in the street and was in the Leaky Cauldron shaking Harry's hand.

Voldermort-He is considered to be the most dangerous and deadly wizard of all time! He has killed many wizards, witches, and muggles. Only one person is believed to be able to stop him and that is Dumbledore. He also lost is power when he tried to attack Harry Potter, but the curse reflected off Harry because his mother left a love mark on him and it protected him!

Rubeus Hagrid-He is currently the Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts! He was expelled from Hogwarts in his second year because he was believed to be seeting a Serpent on kids around the school. He loves dangerours animals and once owned a dragon named Norbert! He was believed to be in the Gryffindor House.

Sirius Black-He was the one that lent Hagrid his flying motor-bike so that he could get baby Harry to Dumbledore right away! He will appear more in book 3, read about him there!

Mrs. Figg-She is the one that is always taking care of Harry when the Dursleys are away! She is know as the cat lady and broke her leg tripping over one of her cats! She is believed to be a witch but this is unknow...?

Tibbles, Snowy, Mr. Paws, Tufty-This is a couple of Mrs. Figgs cats that are mentioned in the book 1. Harry just says he is glad he doesn't have to go to her house and look at pictures of them!

Aunt Marge-She is mentioned in book 1 as and option to where Harry could go while the Dursleys went to the zoo. She is very large and likes to drink and breed dogs, she is mentioned in book 3.

Yvonne-All we know about this person is that she couldn't take care of Harry because she was on vacation in Majorca and is friends with Aunt Petunia.

Piers Polkiss-He is one of Dudley's friends and belongs in Dudley's gang! He likes to make fun of and beat up Harry in his free time. He is going to be attending the private school Smeltings along with Dudley.

Boa Constrictor-This is the snake that is in the zoo and he talkes to Harry. Harry then lets him out of his cage and the snake heads for Brazil...it is were his parents were from and he had never been there before!

Reptile House Keeper-All he does in the book is wonder where the glass went...not that major of a part.

Zoo Director-He personally makes Aunt Petunia a cup of coffee and says he is sorry alot!

Tortoise-It once belonged to Dudley...but he threw it out the greenhouse window because he was mad that Harry was getting his extra room.

Hotel Owner-He was mentioned because he delivered a bag of letters to the Dursleys while they were eating breakfast.

Toothless Old Man-He was the owner of an old boat that the Dursley's and Harry used to get to the shabby shack on the water.

Dudley's Gang-They don't give us names, but just tell us that they weren't there to beat up on Harry.

Owl At The Window-There is an owl that comes to the window in the morning after Hagrid had come to get Harry. He gives Hagrid a newspaper and Harry gives him 5 Knuts.

Women In The Corner-I am talking about the women in the Leaky Cauldron who were smoking in the corner and drinking sherry.

Little Man In A Top Hat-He was in the Leaky Cauldron when Harry walked in.

Tom-He is the bartender at the Leaky Cauldron, he is also the first one who notices Harry.

Doris Crockford-She was the one witch who would keep on coming back and shaking Harry's hand at the Leaky Cauldron.

Professor Quirrell-He is a teacher at Hogwarts and was at Diagon Alley saying he was picking up a book about vampires, but he was really going to try and steal the Sorcerer's Stone from Gringotts Wizard Bank!

Apothecary Women-She was standing outside the Apothecary talking about some low price on some item.

Broomstick Onlookers-There was a bunch of kids looking at the new Nimbus 2000 at a Quidditch store.

Gringotts Goblins-There is many of these walking around Gringotts when Harry and Hagrid walk in.

Griphook-He is the goblin that helps Harry and Hagrid get to vaults 112 and 713.

Madam Malkin-She helped Harry and Draco Malfoy get fitted for there school robes.

Draco Malfoy-He first meets Harry, not knowing who he is when he is also getting fitted for his robes.

Mr. Malfoy-He is Draco's father and I can't remember his name...I will post once I find.

Mrs. Malfoy-She is Draco's mother, I also can't remember her name...sorry...:(

Mckinnons, Bones, Prewetts-These were family's that were killed by either Voldermort, or one of his many supporters.

Hedwig-Hedwig is a snow-white owl that Harry got from Hagrid for his birthday. Hedwig is a great owl and has not missed a delivery!

King's Cross Guard-He was the one that Harry asked for help and he didn't know the answer to any of his questions.

Ginny Weasley-She is the youngest Weasley and doesn't start at Hogwarts until Harry's second year, check out book 2 for more on her!

Mrs. Molly Weasley-She is the mother of all seven Weasley children. She is very nice and loves Harry as if he was her own son. She is really great and everyone loves her!

Percy Weasley-He is very stuck up in my point of view and is made Head Boy in the book 1. He also gets new robes becaue he is a prefect!

Fred Weasley-He is a real trickster and is very funny, just like his twin brother George. He is great friends with Harry and knows all of the secret passage ways out of Hogwarts!

George Weasley-He is also a big trickster and is friends with Harry. He is just like his twin Fred!

Neville Longbottom-He is mentioned in the beginning at King's Cross because he is yelling to his gran about his toad.

Trevor The Toad-Has a very big habit of getting lost!

Gran-I can't give Gran a last name because it isn't mentioned in the series, so she is know as Gran. She raised Neville because Neville's parents are now in the hospital because they were tortured by some of Voldermorts supporters!

Lee Jordan-He is mention on the train becaue he has a big hairy spider. He also has dread locks and I think that dread locks rock!

Trantula/Hairy Spider-The spider belongs to Lee Jordan and he was showing it to people on the train to Hogwarts in book 1.

Second Cousin Accountant-Ron says that his mum has a second cousin that is an accountant, but they don't talk about him!

Bill Weasley-Bill is mention because rons tell Harry that he has another brother. He later tells Harry what he does for a living.

Charlie-He is also Rons older brother and is really cool!

Scabbers-Scabbers belongs to Ron and actually once belonged to Percy and I think Bill, he turns out to actually be Peter Pettigrew in the book 3.

Cart Lady-She is the one who walkes down the train and offers everyone food.

Agrippa, Ptolemy, Morgana, Hengist of Woodcroft, Alberic Grunnion, Circe, Paracelsus, Merlin, Cliodna-They are all people who were on the Chocolate Frog cards that Harry starts collecting in book 1.

Grindelwald-He is mentioned on the back of the Dumbledore card because Dumbledore defeted him in 1945.

Nicolas Flamel-He is also on the back of the Dumbledore card and turns out to be a big use later in book 1.

Hermione Granger-She becomes friends with both Harry and Ron and helps them on many adventures that they take! She is the smarted person in her grade.

Mr. Arthur Weasley-He is mention once or twice in book 1 but more in later books.

Vincient Crabbe-He is one of Malfoy's sidekicks!

Gregory Goyle-He is another one of Malfoy's Sidekicks!

Fat Friar-She is the ghost for the Hufflepuff house.

Peeves-He is a poltergeist that haunts Hogwarts and causes lots and lots of trouble around the school. He appears in every book so far!

Sorting Hat-You probably can't call thise a character, but it must be because it can think up of really great songs for the start of the term feasts!

Hannah Abbott-She is the first one to be sorted in book 1 and goes to the Hufflepuff house.

Susan Bones-She is also sorted into the Hufflepuff house.

Terry Boot-He is the first one to be sorted inot the Ravenclaw house.

Mandy Brocklehurst-She also goest to eh Ravenclaw house.

Lavender Brown-She is the first one to be sorted into Gryffindor and is mention alot in the other books.

Millicent Buldtrode-She is the first one to be sorted into the Slytherin house and is mentioned in the second book for wrestling with Hermione at the dueling club.

Justin Finch-Fletchley-He is sorted into Hufflepuff and is mentioned alot in the book 2.

Seamus Finnigan-He is sorted into Gryffindor also.

Morag MacDougal-J.K. Rowling does not state which house this person was sorted into.

Bloody Baron-He is the Slytherin ghost and has a mysterious stain on his cloak that resembles blood. No one really knows if it is blood or if it isn't...?

Great Uncle Algie-He is Neville's Uncle and was the one that was always trying to catch him off guard and make him do magic!

Great Aunt Anid-She is Neville's Aunt and was the one who offered Great Uncle Algie a cooking and he dropped Neville and made him show some magic!

Professor Snape-He teaches Potions and is the head of the Slytherin house. He is also really hates Harry Potter and all his friends! He was also once a Death Eater, but changed sides before Voldermort fell and lost his power...or did he?

Mr. Argus Filch-He is the curren't caretaker at Hogwarts and is also a Squib. If you all don't know what that is...it means that your parents are witch and wizard, but you have no magic talent at all!

Madam Hooch-She is the person who is in charge of Quidditch and is a Quidditch ref at Hogwarts!

Fat Lady-She is the only wayt to get into the Gryffindor commom room without going thru a window or fireplace!

Mrs. Norris-This cat is no normal cat, she is Filches slave. She walkes areoung the school and gets people in trouble for them breaking the rules. Getting in trouble with ehr is almost as bad as getting in trouble with Filch!

Professor Sprout-She is head of the Hufflepuff house and is the teacher of Herbology.

Professor Binns-He is the only ghost teacher and he teaches History of Magic.

Professor Flitwick-He is the charms teacher and is very short.

African Prince-Quirrell says this is this is the person that gave him his turban for saving the village or something, I don't think it was true!

Fang-Fang is a great big dog that belongs to Hagrid and is a big coward. He has been into the forest many times, but probably doesn't like it!

Oliver Wood-He is a fifth year student in book 1 and is the captain of the quidditch team.
