Geez... ZOMBIES!!! I used to think they were all cliche (ish), and i still kinda do, but that was mainly because I had never seen a zombie movie and didn't think I wanted to. But...  when they are done right, they are so cool. I really liked the remake of Dawn of the Dead, the old version, and Night of the Living Dead, but what i saw of Day of the Dead was a little boring for me.. maybe I should have paid more attention to it... heh eh heh... anyway, what I saw of it, I didn't like much. it's more about analyzing the zombies than anything else. Bleh. I want to watch zombie movies to be scared and watch people blow the undead's  heads off and watch zombies tear people into shreds. Not to analyze the science of zombies. If a movie is done right, it whould give you the zombie facts you need with ample gore to keep it a real zombie horror flick.
Zombie Movie Rules
for the common zombie filck

1. Zombies have to originate. they can't just appear. Explain the 'first zombie'

2. Zombies can move at different rates. Zombie films shouldn't always be Romero style where you can just run by them while they aimlessly grab at your loose clothing. No. They should be able to chase you down and eat your organs if they desired it - which they would. Think '28 days later' not 'Night of the Living Dead'

3. The way to permanantly kill the zombie is to disable the part or the human body where it's brain would be. (i.e. shoot it in the head or drive something into it's brain)

4. Zombies still have instincts, like from their past lives. This is something Romero that actually makes sense. Like people with amnesia that do things and know things but don't know why--only, they're dead. Like when the zombies kept coming to the mall in both of the DotD's.
