• 2 colors of yarn
• Main color for runner or pot holder and second color for outside border if doing table runner.
• #8 needles or your own size.

For this project, we will make feather-n-fan pot holders, with a table runner as an alternative.

• Cast on 42 Stitches
• Knit 3 rows of garter for the border.
• Row 4: knit
• Row 5: K3, P to last 3 stitches K3
• Row 6: K3, *(k2 tog) 3 times, (yo, K1) 6 times, (K2 tog) 3 times, rep from * to last 3 sts K3
• Row 7: K
• Repeat rows 4-7, keeping first and last 3 stitches in garter stitch, until piece measures desired length.
• Knit 3 more rows of garter stitch to make the bottom border.

• Cast on 84 stitches.
• Knit 3 rows of garter stitch for the border.
• Repeat rows 4-7(2 times) from pattern above until you reach the desired length of your table runner.
• Knit 3 more rows of garter stitch to make the bottom border.

If you would like to have a border on your runner, you can change yarn at the ends of your pattern. (you would need 3 balls of yarn, do first 3 and last 3 stitches in different colors.
