Sidcot Model United Nations Club was traditionally a club within Sidcot school, which only really became active a few months before the schools annual participation in THIMUN.
Now, with the arrival of our new MUN director and a bunch of enthusiastic Model United nation fans, we have formed SMUNC, founded officially on 11th March 2003. We are now a formal club with our own mini conferences each week with around 16 delegations being represented. It has been said :-
''The best run Club in school''
We are also looking ahead to participating within UK national conferences as well as the big players of THIMUN and Geneva.
The mini SMUNC conferences are formally run with a chair, assistant chair, admin staff as well as the delegates themselves, in which we debate resolutions on various topics.
