MARANS WELSUMERS

MX-Farms is a small hobby farm located in Elizabeth, West Virginia and Columbus Ohio. This is in the United States. We specialize in raising and breeding rare-breed chickens. We continue to collect some of the finest examples of rare-breed poultry around the country. The MX-Farms is a family owned and operated farm. We specialize in the rare breeds of the Cuckoos, Silver Cuckoos Marans. We also have Welsumers. Check below to see some of our fine stock. The eggs you see in our banner are eggs from our Marans pullets, the three in the middle are from a RIR, Black Star and Pearl White.

At the request of our on-line viewers, we are showing the color of the Cockoo Marans eggs in the picture on the left, and the Welsumers on the right. The eggs pictured were gathered on February 9, 2006. These eggs were not sorted by color. Beginning March 1, 2006, MX Farms will begin shipping only the darkest eggs on a first come, first serve basis. MX Farms will approximately begin shipping chicks in April and/or May 2008. Chicks are $5.00 each, plus shipping & handling with a minimum order of one dozen (straight run only).

The pic above is a young Silver Cuckoo stag. This pic on the right is of Silver the father of the young stag in the pic to the left.

The pic above is of one of our fine year old Silver Cuckoo roosters and pullet and their fine dark eggs. On the right here is two of there five month old sons.

The pic above is of Eve one of our first Cuckoo Marans and she too lays beautiful eggs. This is a pick of one of our young Copper stags that has one of our Black stags on the run. He was getting a little to close to his girls.

Looks like this two young Welsumers have something to work out. This pic to the right is of our older Welsumers.

I have put two sets of egg pictures here at the bottom just in case any one thinks that the eggs at the top is not our eggs. I did take the design of the eggs from someone else but all the eggs and birds you see are from MX-Farms. We take picture after picture to get the lighting and make sure everything is just right before I post a pic. The ones I posted you see now went through the picking order and only one made it, but there they are. I hope this will leave no doubt.
