Poll #1 Select your lamest, worst TV or movies glasses cliché from the following scenes. I don't want you to select the scene you have seen the most often, but the one that you believe to be the most ridiculous misuse of glasses.
Scene #1) The woman lets down her hair, takes off her glasses and is magically transformed from a mousy, ugly duckling into a gorgeous woman.
Scene #2) The man/woman with glasses comes into a crowded, heated room from the cold outside and his/her glasses never steam up.
Scene #3) The man/woman with glasses removes them and is able to see clearly across the room and function perfectly while visually impaired.
Scene #4) Computer geeks and "intelligent" people are always portrayed with glasses; action heros/heroines never have glasses.
I personally have not seen the Buck Rogers show. Maybe one of the visitors can shed some light on her. Regarding Shindig, my 'Articles' section has some photos of Carole Shelyne. I also remember reading an article in our newspaper about her. She wore those glasses just so that she would stand apart from the other dancers; she certainly caught my eye! Also, on one show, she was featured singing a song especially written for her - 'The Girl with the Horn Rimmed Glasses'. I can still remember the tune to this day and a even few of the words. - Lenslover

I don't know if they were Debra's, but I do recall they were extremely strong. There was one scene from the movie that featured a camera shot through the lenses as the glasses laid on a table.

#1) Kathy Ireland did a movie a while back in which she wore glasses for a time. I forget the movie's name but the part she played was Wanda Sagmussin (or something like that). Can you help? - RASSLINMD
I believe the movie in question was 'Alien in LA' (1987). Kathy played the role of Wanda Saknussem. I'll try to get photos for you the next time it's on in my area. - Lenslover
