How can I strip the protective coatings off my glasses? The UV & anti-glare coatings are so scratched up, my lenses look fogged up.

I know someone who said I should take lighter fluid to strip the films off, but I'm not so sure about that.

My first response would be to return them to the office that made them. Are they less than 2 years old? If so, they should be guaranteed.

If not, if it's just the coating that's grazed, you can send it to a lab to have the coating just removed. I believe the labs have to use some type of acid dip to remove it.
