As most of my friends know I spent a couple of weeks this year driving a safety boat in Gibraltar... tough life huh? As a result I have decided to inflict on you all some of my happy snaps from this trip! |

Gibraltar is stack full of history as it is the gateway to the Med for any shipping. As a result it has, over the years, bristled with guns of all types, most of which had to be pulled up the rock by manpower alone...nasty! |

Say "rescue" and this is what everyone thinks of... unfortunately a good rescue / safety boat coxswain spends 90% of the time idling in neutral and watching in case something happens. Or doing tedious repetitive things to prevent anything going wrong...sigh, more illusions shattered ;) Mind you, it gave me a chance to swan about in the sunshine for a change :) |

Of course I couldn't visit the rock without taking a couple of pictures of the apes could I?!? |

Floodlit at night the rock is impressive to say the least! |

Of course there's always time for a play if you try hard enough:) it's just a shame the visibility is so poor in the Med... Oh and I'd strongly recommend that you *don't* drink the water at Western beach, YEUCH! |
