The
School was opened on 1.12.1991 and was named Kajang Vocational School
(Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Kajang). There were only 33 students, 8
academic teachers and 22 vocational teachers.
The main academic streams consists only of automotive and air conditioning
streams.
Students took SPMV examination and Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) at
beginner's
levels, intermediate's level and advance's level.
In 1992, the school took in 324 students. By 1994 the enrolment reaches 600, including those
undergoing the EON training programme.
The former principals of our school were En. Hasni bin Mohamad (1991-1993), Tn. Hj.
Mohamed Yunus bin Marulah (1993-1995), Tn. Hj. Mohamad Sani Mohamad Yusof
(1995-1998), Tn. Hj. Selamat bin Amat Judi (1998-2000), Tn. Hj. Mohd Fadri
bin Nadzir (2000-2003) and the present principal is Pn. Hjh. Karteni binti
Hj. Osman (2003

In 1996, our school was upgraded to be a technical school and the school was then
renamed Kajang
Technical School (Sekolah Menengah Teknik Kajang). Our first batch of
technical students took mechanical engineering in 1997. In
the year
2000, the school offered commerce and we received 81 students. At present
the school is offering commerce, mechanical engineering, automotive and air
conditioning.
