The 40 day challenge is well under way and nowhere is that more obvious than at Sims Middle School in Pace, FL. My fellow classmates and I (well most of us anyway) are participating in the Challenge. For those of you who don't have a clue as to what im talking about here is a quick overview.
The forty day challenge is a Christian program designed to help teens and all involved to get ready for lent (the forty days following the challenge). It asks teens to learn to give up something just like lent only we need to do it for 80 days because lent follows. You are giving up something close to you or something you like such as soda or even chocolate or sweets. Along with that sacrifice students are given a task book that challenges them to complete various tasks daily while the challenge is going on. This is designed to bring you closer to God and to show fellow classmates that You are a JESUS FREAK!! |
