| The 8th grade english classes were happy to have Yoko Kawashima Watkins visit. Students have been reading her autobiographical novel So Far from the Bamboo Grove. The novel tells about Yoko & her family escaping from North Korea during World War II. The family makes a dangerous and diffficlult escape to their homeland Japan. Both the students and the teachers enjoyed Yoko's novel very much. | ||||||||||||
