Suscipe (Traditional)

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,

My understanding and my entire will,

Saint Ignatius of LoyolaAll I have and call my own.

You have given all to me.

To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will.

Give me only your love and our grace,

That is enough for me.

        -St. Ignatius

Prayer for Generosity

Eternal Word, only begotten Son of God,

Teach me true generosity.

Teach me to serve you as you deserve.

To give without counting the cost,

To fight heedless of wounds,

To labor without seeking rest,

To sacrifice myself without thought of any reward

Save the knowledge that I have done your will. Amen.

        -St. Ignatius

Prayer for souls in Purgatory

Eternal father, I offer to you the

Precious blood of thy divine son,

Jesus, in union with the masses

 Said throughout the world today,

For the holy souls in purgatory,

For sinners everywhere those

 In the universal Church,

 Within my own home

And in my family.

    "GIVE A MAN A FISH,

AND YOU FEED HIM FOR A DAY.

      TEACH HIM TO FISH,

AND YOU FEED HIM FOR LIFE."

Reflection

How do I view Christ? Who is He, and where is he in my life? Do I dedicate and honor Him enough on a daily basis, or do I only pray to Him when I’m in trouble or suffering?

Saint Ignatius of Loyola

Was dedicated to God after

His conversion. He gave up

       Everything he owned so that

He could act as Christ did,

And so that God would be

Pleased with him.

…….do we have intentions to try and please God, or do we just hope that He will feel sorry for us at our judgment?
