Steve Shires

Hi. Let me tell you about myself. I visit the Institute of Physics, write essays and a few books  I've also posted much of my artwork to a website as photos. I make electro-mechanical models and electronic circuits, make mercuric compounds, read physics and chemistry and oil paint.  My favorite color is yellow ochre..

My best friends are Susie Brophy and Michael Brophy. Other good friends are the pianist Graham Meek, Denis Cole, whom I think of as Chestfield's computer guru and Andy Renshaw (of the folk-band Relig Oran).  Much of my writing and Internet surfing (research) was carried out on Susie's computer.

I have one sister, Julia, who is an artist but is confined incommunicado in a care home, Orchard House, tel. 01227 373586, in Herne Bay, Kent, and one brother, Nick, an ex art teacherwho lives at Liphook, near Guildford in Surrey. I have four nieces; Ella Booker, who is my sister's daughter, and Lucy, Alice and Emily, who are my brother and sister-in-law Katie's daughters.
