Here is a list of Summer activities for Social Studies.
Current events: Choose any topic relevant to Social Studies.
5th & 6th Grades:
You need to bring in two (2)
current events from the month of JULY. Please make sure you are able to discuss them in class.
7th & 8th Grades:
You are to bring in three (3)
current events from the month of August. You are to write a five sentence summary for each current event. Also be able to discuss each current event.
You could throughout the summer watch stories on the History Channel, Discovery Channel, or other television stations that have a historical background. Remember wherever you go for vacation, there is always a history lesson lurking around.
