REUNION REACTIONS
Comments on the Big Event compiled on behalf of organizer Sue Moy-Lee (She is too modest to do this herself!)
Now we'll let the attendees tell the story...

I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed the high school reunion on Saturday night. It was nice to
see people whom i have not seen for 31 years. I had a lot of fun. I was surprsied to see that Mr. White and
Mr. Novelcel remembered me. It was really nice to see everyone again. I want to congratulate you and the people who
helped you in organizing this evening. I know some people who graduated from Monklands and are not on
classmates. I will let them know in advance about the next reunion in 2009. When you find out the date let
me know. Thanks again for a wonderful evening!

Angelina Pappas

For someone (moi) who did not remember a lot about my high school years, I had a
blast. You did a great job. Congrats.

Denise Pappas

Debbie and I would like to take this time to express our sincere appreciation for your efforts in presenting a most enjoyable evening. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have returned to Toronto with memories of a GREAT evening. Seeing old friends and having the opportunity to meet new people such as yourself made the evening / weekend even more memorable. Our compliments also go out to the wonderful DJ. He was most accommodating to our requests
In closing,  We look forward to meeting with you again at the next reunion and hope you get the opportunity to recuperate from all your hard work.
With sincere thanks,

Sam & Debbie Midgley

I just wanted to tell you that we had a GREAT time at the reunion! YES my dinner was excellent as was the whole evening. This will be a short note as it is late and I just got in from seeing a hall for my daughter's wedding next year. WOW! It is a lot of running around - trying to find something to please everyone! Thank you so much for all your hard work to make the reunion the success that it was!!!!
Lynne Marton

I had a terrific time and so did my sister (Debbie Livy).  My hotel room was great - lots of space and very comfortable!   Thank you for all your effort
and for arranging for the reduced hotel rates & parking fees.
Take care,

Christine Sutherland

Thank you so much for the great night. I can"t wait to see the web site please keep me informed. Gail
Gail Jackson Kearney

Yes, everything was fine. The hotel was lovely and the meal was perfect.
Thank you for all your hard work! However, a special thank you, because without this reunion, I would not have
met up with Joan! We had a wonderful weekend and intend to stay in touch
from here on in!
Best regards,

Judy

Thank you so **very** much for spearheading an incredible evening. I know you put in countless hours and see you enlisted your offspring too!!!
I know firsthand what it takes to organize an evening like Saturday. Hats off to you and all your unseen helpers.

I had a great time catching up on 31 years of history. And to see Mrs Rohr and Mr Novosel and to hear about Mrs Lessard made the evening for me. All
are legendary teachers for so many of us.
Margaret Dougherty

Thank you so much for organizing the MHS Reunion.  George and I had a splendid time; it was nice to see so many people were able to attend.  You deserve a great deal of credit for all your hard work. What a gargantuan task!  Thank you very much.

George and Kathleen Greenfield

Would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for a great job you did.  I really enjoyed the reunion and look very much forward to 2009.  Myles thanks for taking the initiative for 2009.  If you need any help from my end, just let me know.

Peggy Gradman

Thank you for a splendid effort! What a success the evening was.  Most at our table had not been in touch for years  and we have all been in touch
since Saturday, already.

Joan Pitre (Isherwood)

Congratulations on organising a wonderful evening.  I got together with some friends I haven't seen in 41 years!!
Kudos for a magnificent job
Barry D. Barnes

Thanks again for the time, energy, and perseverance to organize the event.

I am glad that you (Wes and Chris) found a spot for me to  give my "vignette" of the most memorable song of the class of 1962 (What a day this
has been) and my story that gowes with it. The Saturday night event has already stimulated other things. The 1962 group
has actually committed to a 1962 class reunion in 2007 (probably in Toronto) -- "the class of '62 when everyone turns 62" (we are all turning 58 this
year). Jean Collier is the instigator.

Allan Fox

Congratulations and thank you for a wonderful evening. You succeeded in making many people VERRRRY happy.
Thank you again. It is such hard work to pull together such a large event.
I do hope that you enjoyed the evening as much as I did. By the way, of the people sitting at my 1969
table, five of us went to Rosedale elementary school together, and three of us lived on the same block of
Montclair Avenue and played together as kids. So it was more than a high school reunion for us.

Thanks again for your efforts.

Marlene Smyth

I had a really great time, Sue, better than I expected!  It was great seeing my old classmates again after 25 years!  Luckily we all haven't
changed "too" much!! Yeah, I know, speak for myself, ha!ha! :)
Marleen Lattimore

It was an awesome evening! Sue, What a huge undertaking, all those gifts, cocktails,
buttons, pictures. So many extras that made the whole thing so special. I think we all feel so flattered
that anyone thinks we Monklandites are worth all this. Well, darnit, we are! We rock!
I think Chris and Wes are two goldmines of information, too. Talk about serendipity.

I am absolutely exhausted, and of course it's that good kind of tired. I am so honoured that I got to be one of the speakers.

Thanks for everything. I will never forget this evening!

Audrey McLaren

Thank you once again for organizing a great night, I think everyone had good
night of reminiscing.

Neil MacFayden

Just wanted to express my sincere thanks for a job well done!  We had a great time!  It was so much fun trying to recognize old friends, and reminiscing with them!  Actually, it was amazing how some had changed so little in their appearance.  Like Mrs. Rohr and George Novosel!!  They were terrific!!  See you at the next one!!  Again, Congrats!
