Embarcation for The Pride is now in Long Beach. Carnival moved from San Pedro to the dome that used to house the Spruce Goose. The easiest way to do it is to do the early check-in on The Queen Mary. You have to get there before 11 am. We drove from our town (about a 3 hour drive) to Long Beach on Sunday. We drove into the parking structure where we were able to drop off our luggage to a porter (customary to tip $1 bag min.), then go park our car. Parking is $12 a day (be prepared to pay for 8 days, not 7...grumble, grumble). It works out to be about the same price as coming the night before and getting a hotel, but it is sure nice to have your car right there and not worry about shuttles back and forth. After checking in at the Queen Mary we went to Zone 1 check-in right outside the dome. Found a bench and people-watched passengers coming off the Pride. About 11:30 they qued up the line and it was time to board! We were on the ship having lunch by 12:30! For more about this process please read my review.
