Blackavar was an Efrafan and heard of Hyzenthlays move to escape Efrafa, but got over-frightened and blindly ran away. He was caught and had his ears shredded. He was made to sit in front of the burrows as an example to anyone who thought of escaping. Bigwig, though, took pity on Blackavar and helped him escape. Though Blackavar was free of Efrafa, he still acted like a military officer.
