| ring count Once you've watched Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring more than twenty times and have the drooling enough under control to actually pay attention, there's some random things you can't help noticing. One day you'll say to yourself: "Hmmm, I wonder how many times he does that?" When that moment comes, be afraid. be very afraid. You know, counting this sort of stuff has convinced me that this movie is not only a total slash fest, but also not a drama, no, it's actually a very funny comedy. If you're gonna try this at home, be warned - it's highly addictive! Number of.. � times Frodo takes out the Ring and holds it in the palm of his hand in a very meaningful way but for no particular reason [ 06 ] � times Merry eats or drinks [ 06 ] � times Sam scratches his head [ 06 ] � times the Eye of Sauron is shown during the movie [ 07 ] � times Legolas supports Aragorn verbally or physically [ 07 ] � times men hug each other [ 08 ] � times Frodo screams like a girl [ 08 ] � times someone looks so miserable you want to give them a bowl of soup and tell them everything is gonna be alright [ 09 ] � times Elrond raises eyebrows or tries to stare out someone [ 09 ] � times Legolas saves someone [ 09 ] � times the number '3' appears in the movie [ 10 ] - When Gollum loses the ring it bounces THREE times - In the Fellowship of the Ring, THREE people call It 'precious' - Merry is spotted eating an apple THREE times - Legolas announces what's attacking them THREE times - Isildur and Boromir are both killed by THREE arrows - There are THREE stone trolls - The scene where Sauron's hand is cut off is shown THREE times - THREE rings for Elven-kings, under the sky... - The name 'Legolas' is mentioned THREE times and, the real big one .. Frodo and Sam making supper on the trail after leaving Bag End, but before meeting Merry & Pippin 29-34. MINIMUM of 5 Men smoking in the Prancing Pony, not including-- 35. Strider. Now, there's a man who knows how to draw a pipe! 36. Bree's gatekeeper gets in one last puff before being squashed like a bug by the Nazgul 37. Later, Gandalf holds his pipe in his mouth (but is he smoking?) as he speaks to Elrond of the treachery of Saruman 39-40. Aragorn and Gandalf relax with a pipefull until Saruman's Crebain interrupt 41-43.
