CANADIAN MEMORIAL CROSS

The Cross of Sacrifice is bestowed upon mothers and wives of those soldiers/airmen/sailors who have died for the country's cause. This Cross was bestowed on Margaret Redmond the mother of Sgt. James J. Redmond.

Sergeant James Joseph Redmond died on the 28th of July 1944. He is burried in the Florence War Cemetary - Italy

Mike and Shaun Redmond "Stand on Guard" at the grave site of their Uncle (circa 1960). Since that time Shaun's daughter Anathalie has also made a pilgimage to the Cemetary.
