While few have problems comprehending the first part of this section it is obvious that some are ignorant of, or choose to ignore, the latter. It would be nice to believe that the vast majority of these individuals are innocent victims of these self styled "Orders of Chivalry", but I, as an individual within the Order, have difficulty comprehending how our members can continue to patronize these various groups in light of the "Nature of the Order".

In the past few years we have seen the growth of a number of self styled "Holy Sepulchre Orders", mostly in the United States. However one does not have to look far to see an array of red or green ribbons of these various self styled Orders (not recognized by the Holy See nor Sovereign States) at functions of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. These groups include, among others, The Military and Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem; The Order of the Holy Cross of Jerusalem and the Sovereign Order of Saint John.

Membership in The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, which is of ancient origin and enjoys many privileges, is to be cherished and whole heartedly supported by the Knights and Ladies of the Order. Perhaps the best way in which we can display our loyalty and love of the Order is to obey its Constitution and Regulations. All of them!
