Terms and Conditions
Smoky Hill Cattery is dedicated to showing, breeding, and selling champion cats. To protect our cattery's credibility, we request that buyers of our cats agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Buyback
Smoky Hill Cattery reserves the right to buy back sold cats if they are offered for sale again by their owners. This means, Smoky Hill can decide whether or not to buy the cat back before other prospective buyers make offers, if the cat is sold publicly.
- Studs
Smoky Hill holds the right to breed for free to any of our sold studs. New owners must also consult Smoky Hill before neutering a stud cat sold by us.
- Retired Queens
If a queen is bought from us after she is retired, the new owners are required to use her for breeding purposes only and may not compete with her.
- Cat Information
New owners may not change the main registry information of cats bought from Smoky Hill Cattery including name, age, breed, and color. However, they may change their cat's photo as long as the new picture is accurate. If the picture is not the correct breed and/or color, Smoky Hill holds the right to request the owner find a new, accurate picture, or replaces the picture with the cat's original picture.
- Registry
Within three days of receiving the check for the purchase of a cat, Smoky Hill will update the cat's owner and cattery information in the main registry.
- Showing
Smoky Hill believes in excellence and will only sell cats that have reached champion/premier status. When we sell a cat, we expect that the cat will be shown (unless she is a retired queen) by its new owner. If we see that a cat is unable to live up to its full potential under its new owner, we have the right to refuse that owner's purchase of additional cats from Smoky Hill Cattery.
- Requests
Members may make requests to buy cats and kittens who are not listed for sale. However, Smoky Hill will only sell cats that have reached champion/premier status, and we reserve the right to refuse any offer.
- Payment
Checks must be paid to Hannah Connelly within three days of the finalized deal. The sales offer will be withdrawn if the payment date is not met.
