Creature Name: Scaled Lynx
General
Description
Scaled Lynx are the size and shape of a terran lynx. They have scales instead
of fur except for the tufts of fur on their ears. The scales instead of being
smooth to the body are pointy and stick out slightly kind of like a hedgehog
that isn't mad. If rubbed the right way (from head to tail) the scales will
not hurt despite their razor sharp edge, they are actually very smooth. If
rubbed the wrong way however, the scales will cut the offender's hand. Scaled
Lynx are from the planet Dai'Wadeeya and during the turbulent period in human
history were considered excellent guardians. Their razor sharp scales, which
can be made to stick out when they are upset, are excellent defense against
intruders. Some Lynx were even taken into battle and volunteered their skills
to help their bond-mates. Now during peaceful times most have returned to
the wild, where they live in packs with alpha males and females, but many Scaled Lynx can still be found living with humans, normally
travelers or people in power, anyone fearing attack or needing a strong willed
companion.

Abilities
Basic telepathy with other creatures from the planet Dai'Wadeeya and any humanoid
race. Dependent on eye color Scaled Lynx can be either empathic, telekinetic,
or have precognition.
Oddities

If yes, when: immediately after birth, bonded pair will stay with the mother
until the kitten is weaned at 6-8 weeks old unless there is a surrogate
nursing creature available among their bond-mate's other critters.
