Dai'Wadeeyan
Griffons
Creature Name: Dai'Wadeeyan Griffon
General
Description:
Their origins are unknown, they suspect they were magically created. These
griffons are combinations of different birds of prey and either lions, tigers
or leopards. The heads and wings are the only parts of the griffon that belong
to the bird of prey, the body legs and tail all belong to the big cat. These
griffons live in various regions on Dai'Wadeeya but are most commonly found
where there are cliffs available for their Aeries. All griffons are superb
hunters but very few make their living that way, fewer still are warriors.
The Dai'Wadeeyan griffons are a peacefull race for the most part and the majority
of them are scholars and mages with a few elementals thrown in. The only known
enemies of the griffons are the Rathnaiti and most wouldn't even qualify them
as enemies, just annoyances and abominations of the griffon species. (read
more on Rathnait and Dai'Wadeeyan Sphinx for details.)
