flower in bloom she looms ahead delighting in lighting the path we tread in closing shes opposing to the light that surrounds and bounds me in its might but then she unfolds and holds such beauty petals open Im hopin theyre for me sun shining, wind whining against my face I ignore the thorns of her stem and embrace fingers bleed but my heart needs her my long-stemmed rose, my petaled prose my flower...
Fate There was a man who lived in town and walked for miles and miles around his soles were worn but his soul was warm he never walked with his head down... There was a star who fell from grace who stayed inside and hid her face her doors were locked her cupboards stocked never again would she be part of the race... Sometimes walking he would look behind and see a shape through the blinds his eyes would just miss hers and then theyd become a blur and would stay all day floating in his mind... Every day she watched him walk she loved him she knew though they never talked from behind her curtain time and time again she watched his way down the sidewalk... Another man, his head filled with snow was going somewhere he didnt know just had to get there fast ignoring the signs as they passed every red light just said go... Up high the clouds cleaned the sky and over his shoulder the moon beamed by he stopped short and met her gaze curtains drawn, blinds gone, windows raised behind him he heard pavement cry... She saw him coming down the street tonight, she thought we have to meet! She opened her window saw him stop far below ...and then headlights made her heart skip a beat... Bottle in hand cap in the other trying to pry it off before the corner then a squeal and a scream the scent of oil and steam then darkness took him over... All the sounds seemed to mesh where the metal met flesh her screams soaked fire, scattered the smoke and then silence came to claim the rest...
Picture Perfect Picture this: Lonely mother, motherless On the street No food to eat And she cries tears so clear from eyes so lifeless... Picture this: Cardboard home, homeless Lying under Newspaper And as he dreams he screams in helplessness... Picture this: Drug pusher, pushing death Lips shaking Needle breaking And as he shakes he takes his last breath... Picture this: Street walker, walking mess Pale and thin Frail from sin As each car slows she knows theres nothing left... Picture this: A lost cause, causing distress Unshaven Gun waving As he steals more he feels so much less... Picture this: Lost leader, leading the fray oily smile Cunning and guile Unblinking, never thinking, pride in the way... Picture this: Picture perfect, perfect world Eyes waxen Lids slacken The ties that blind us, tied up, twisted and twirled...
Escape she walks along the path shoes torn, feet worn, face forlorn head down to the sun's wrath a child strapped to her back one in her arms free from harm, smile disarms eyes blind, she doesnt look back but curiosity has its cost with chances of lost romances she glances she feels so alone, so lost but she knows, at last, its gone although she yearns she turns, the sun burns and, her head down again, she walks on...
Free she wakes and waits and watches the world turning and burning, tumbling around her and the stars so far and hard to reach what wonders, she ponders, they've to teach in her yard the hard rain falls and mauls the sweet grass as it grasps to be tall and reach the peak of gravity's give to the sky, heaven-high, just to live she waits as she debates all this sun rises, opens irisis, a warming kiss she steps deftly out into the day as shadows under willows move and play her smile lasts awhile as she walks around delighting in the lighting the sun casts down a cool june breeze brushes her face as it blows leaves on trees as it races she listens to the blossoms opening to greet dew glistens like biss all around her feet senses escape her, sun draping her in light head held high, arms wide, ready for flight
Forever how i remember... how she danced around the parlor now i remember... her face lit up in the mirror oh, i remember... those cold words forever sarcasm clever, forever... darkest weather, ending never debate whether, to surrender closed eyes ever, eternity rather together... for such short splendor dreams of forever, in between seams of never hair like a feather, her eyes my shelter... and now a shatter, broken, scatter and i remember... our dances in the parlor and i remember... her face beside mine in the mirror... and i can't bear to remember... never being with her...for forever...
Invisible if i were a bird i'd just fly away catch a breeze and leave today... if i were a wave i'd wash upon the shore sink into the sand not to be seen anymore if i were a river i'd flow into the sea become indistinguishable no one would see me if i could i would... become... invisible... if i were a mountain i'd let my rocks tumble down.... until i was level...and even with the ground... if i were a breath i'd inhale forever never let the outside world see me suffer if i were the sun i'd hide behind the clouds wait the pass of day, no i'd never come out if i could i would...become... invisible...

Violet The halo that circles the moon shines bright tonight And I'm alone waiting for you, you make it all alright I see your hair, it's everywhere Your eyes sparkle with light And your smile, makes it all worthwhile Carries me through the night Oh, violet, wrap your arms around me, oh, surround me Oh, violet, when the sun sets I look up at the sky, oh, how I wish I could fly I scrape the sky with my fingers until they bleed, wishing them to deliver you to me oh, violet, I stare at your face, it's every place I look Oh, violet, I snuck a glance, just one chance is all it took Oh, violet, kiss the back of my neck Wrap your arms around me, oh, surround me Clouds sweep across the horizon, blocking you from my vision But then I see, my violet staring back at me Oh, here's a gentle kiss I place on your lips as the night turns gray The sun begins to rise, and the light fades from your eyes, As the day takes you away . . .

Waves.. . and the wave crashes against my door its emerald eyes, like ocean skies with hints and glints of azure with a wave of red hair and red lips and behind that smile, oh what lies only to trace her face with my fingertips whom do i thank for this vision, this gift all the questions, how's and why's fall away from her gaze, my mood lifts her smile transcends the miles between the curve of skin, the blink of eyes surpassing all wonders i've ever seen the wave of her hand as i stand near oh the beauty, one has to wonder if she tries if she even knows, that she is so dear and she crashes into me, as we meet, over and over again, as she sighs the waves relentless at my feet... my hands wound and bound around her... i smile, open the door, and let it enter...
Window Shattered! it falls to the floor pieces, lying, it won't be opend anymore like a dream, falling hard sharp edged, tiny shards kneeling in the pile of thousands of refracting images, head pounding eye swelling, blood letting no use standing, or forgetting quiet contempt, muffled cries worries of tomorrows, wonders of why's looking down, sees herself in a million pieces, broken picks up a piece, holds it close to her heart tries to find some peace, broken apart...
Tomorrow twilight falls all around the ground as the sound of clouds sweeping across the violet lit sunset sky can be heard up high, the martar moon cries of death reflects the sun, begun again the days long dawn... silence echoes the songs of birds... of freedom they sing and take wing the sweet scent of lilac attacks the senses as one more shadow falls down the walls... as one more sun comes crawling up the sky another dream comes apart at the seams mist just burning away... as, it seems, the moonlit knit web of stars is lost to the night another flower opens to the light, as another day break comes shining from the ground... one more dawn is gone, dying, without a sound...
