Nearly 400 people attended the June 2nd local screening of The SmoKing at the Corning Museum of Glass Auditorium!
Media support was terrific - Our thanks go out to the Elmira Star-Gazette and Corning Leader for excellent feature stories... as well as to WETM-TV's 18News in the Morning show for having Don and Dave live on the air to talk about the movie.
The wind and rain that lasted much of the day ended just in time for people to arrive and hang outside the Museum. And arrive they did - there was a steady stream of guests from all around the area. The atmosphere both inside and out was festive and it looked like everyone had a great time. The screening started a little after 8 and - thanks to the quality of the CMOG facility - The SmoKing never looked or sounded better.
After the credits had rolled and the applause had died down, Don and Emrys joined Dave up front to field some great (and sometimes quite humorous) questions from the audience. Most of the cast and crew were present and stuck around to meet and talk to the crowd during the reception.
The festivities continued at the Glory Hole Pub & Eatery where a good portion of the crowd ended up.
All in all it was quite an incredible event - Our thanks from Smoke King Productions to everyone who attended - and to our gracious sponsors: Graphic Solutions, AJ's Hair & Make-up, Locey Realty Group, Lost Angel Glass, and WETM-TV Channel 18. |
