Here is the case that ePods was going to market to it customers as an optional accessory. This case was sent to ePods beta test customers as a thank you for being the first to order an ePods. Very few of these cases were made. They seem to have found their way to the "second market". The case is made from black neoprene (like the Body Glove). The cases are lined with a nylon fabric. In between the outer and inner layers is a stiff plastic insert. This provides good protection for the screen.
The case has the ePods logo on the outside. IMHO, the logo is the coolest part of the case.
The case opens on the top. The zipper goes most of the way around. There are "gussets" which keep the case from opening more than about 5". There is plenty of room inside for the ePods and all of the accessories. There is a "secret compartment" in the front of the case (I guess it's not much of a secret now <g>). The fit and finish of the case is very good. I have three of these cases and I am happy with my purchase. I would have bought a few more but I wanted to leave some for the rest of you <g>. Update 3/18/2001 - These cases originally showed up on eBay. The high bids were in the range from $55 to $60. Asteroid is selling these directly now for $29.99 plus shipping here.
