One of the longest in this size range, this lemon dress could fit a child until she is four years old.
To match, lemon lace has been used to make the free coat-hanger.
The rear yoke sections of the bodice, which are as long as the smocked section at the front, have small darts to allow ease of movement in the longer bodice back. The piping of these sections is in the same fabric as is the piping on the sleeve cuffs. A frill of narrow, gathered nylon lace in lemon is a dainty trim to the neckline.
The smocking design, over an extended area that would reach to waist level, is worked in pale green and dark fawn. Tiny embroidered 'bars' in pale green and embroidered 'Grub roses' in two shades of fawn/brown with dark green leaves compliment the design.
There is a generous four button rear opening allowing lots of room to pass over the child's head.
Nape to hem this dress measures 51 cms and there is a 5 cm hem that can be dropped to extend the life of the dress.
