Smocked Dresses and Rompers For Toddlers
Snowdrop ~ Smocked, Beaded, Embroidered Dress
This white dress is in a 'self-figured' pattern in a fine poly/cotton, sized to fit approximately a twelve to eighteen month old.
White lace with a 'glitter' effect has been used to make this free coat-hanger.
The piping on the front and rear yokes is also white and the white nylon lace around the collar sections and cuffs has a 'glitter' element to it.
There is ample room for a child's head to comfortably pass through the two button back opening on the dress.
The smocking design is in two main colours, peach and pale green. Two rows of white beads have been incorporated into the design as have a central row of embroidered 'Grub roses' in a darker peach with dark green leaves.
For safety's sake, as with all my beaded garments, the beads have been triple stitched, fastened off with a couple of 'smocker's knots' and sealed with fabric sealer.
Note:
Buttons on this dress are not suitable for a young baby unable to sit up as they are shaped as white butterfies trimmed with gold. These would not be comfortable to lie on for hours.
Nape to hem this dress measures 41 cm.
