Ring of Roses ~ Smocked, Embroidered Dress
Sized for eighteen months to two years but... depending on the child, this dress is really at the older end of the scale.
A pastel/multi coloured lace has been used to make the free coat-hanger.
This fine poly/cotton fabric has a barely perceptible white shadow check under the richly dotted pattern.
Some of the colours of these 'dots' have been picked up in the four main colours of the smocking design, lilac, deep, dusky turquoise, purple and white. The central 'cameo' is an unsmocked, pleated space surrounded by an embroidered vine of climbing 'Grub roses' and rosebuds in three shades of pink wih dark green leaves and climbing stem in dark and lighter green.
The yoke sections, collars and sleeve cuffs are piped in matching fabric.
The dress has a generously sized two button back opening which will allow the garment to comfortably pass over a child's head.
Nape to hem, the length of the dress is 44cm.
