Smocked Dresses and Rompers For Toddlers
Lavender Blue ~ Smocked, Beaded, Embroidered Dress
This dress is sized for eighteen months to two years but... depending on the child, is really at the older end of the scale.
The free coat-hanger is made with blue lace.
This blue dress has piped yoke sections in matching fabric, whilst the collars and sleeve cuffs are trimmed with a matching blue lace. The dress has a generously sized two button back opening which will allow the garment to comfortably pass over a child's head.
Richly smocked and embroidered, the main smocking design is in three colours, dark grey, light grey and pink. Pale blue 'Grub roses' and very light jade coloured leaves are embroidered over the smocking and a row of pale pink pearl type beads complete the design.
For safety's sake, as with all my beaded garments, the beads have been triple stitched, fastened off with a couple of 'smocker's knots' and sealed with fabric sealer.
Nape to hem, the length of the dress is 44cm.
