Smocked Baby Dresses and Rompers
Sweetheart ~ Smocked, Beaded and Embroidered Dress
This dress for a six to twelve month old is a deep peach shade.
The free coat-hanger is in peach lace.
Depending upon your viewpoint this colour dress, which has not reproduced well here could be described as deep peach, a variation of light orange or even tangerine.
The front and back yokes are piped in the same fabric and the cuffs and collar sections are trimmed with cream lace.
The dress has a generously sized two button back opening will allow the garment to comfortably pass over baby's head.
The smocking design is in deep sage green and cream with a few tiny, clear orange beads. The dress is finished off with embroidered orange 'Grub roses' and buds with dark green leaves.
For safety's sake, these beads... as with all my beaded garments, have been triple stitched, fastened off with a couple of 'smocker's knots' and sealed with fabric sealer.
Nape to hem, the length of the dress is 39cm.
