| Parker calls it quits after 6 years!!! |
| John Parker and Southern Mafia announced today that John would be retiring from active competiton to take over other duties within the company. "Its was a tough decision that I thought alot about before discussing it with Rod. But at this time its just not feasible for me to be competitve." stated Parker "I want to compete and I know I still have the talent but with sponsors being as difficult to find and then to keep as they are...I can't give them what they want or deserve. Do I think I'll come back and race again?...maybe only time will tell but I will still be a part of this team running th day to day operations so that Rod can concentrate on bringing home that 4 Cup Championship or Chuck adding another to his 2001 Championship." |
