| I've talked about bat plant for ages as just one of the weirdest looking plants. [That I like!] So one day, he comes home with a packet of the seeds! So next spring I'll give it a shot. And the garry oak, well I grew up under a 200 or so year old one. And I miss it something fierce. So, one day we re going to a plant nursery, not too unusual for us with him studying for his arborist certificate. And then he calls me over to what we were really there for him to find: my own 'baby' garry oak: 6 feet tall and ten years old. I am keeping it in a pot until I can 'release' it on Vancouver island in a few years. |
