Karo's Guidelines

My style is rather spontaneous and wild. When I write my fics, its like a wild roller coaster ride. I never know quite when its going to end, or where its going to end up. This is also the cause for the majority of my never-ending stories.

WIth this style, there isn't much to guide you with. Basically, you let your emotions run the game, and go hog-wild! Yes, you must have a plot, and you SHOULD have an ending destination where you want your story to stop, but there isn't much of an outlining stage. Basically, inspiration hits you, and you start writing like a madman (or woman).

I do, however, write outlines for my characters, although the outlines are very basic. I try to get a feel for their personality, and keep these profiles close at hand when writing, so I can stay true to the characteristics of the person.

Because most of the fics submitted here are about already created characters, you don't neccesairly have to do this step. However, I do suggest going online to find a basic profile of the Sailor Moon character(s) you plan on writing about. If you plan on having a drastic change in personality, try not to go too extreme. It may be fiction, but fiction is always best when it seems real.

For example, if you decide the in your story, Usagi/Serena goes on a diet, make it hard for her. She's a person who naturally loves junk, so show some inner conflict when she's offered chocolate and such. It becomes more realistic this way, because honestly, no one wakes up one morning, decides they're going to go on a diet, and has no second thoughts whatsoever.

Other than this, my style really has no planning. If you really need more organization in your life and fics, then I'd say that this style is probably not for you.
