What is Senshi Love?

Senshi Love is a fanfiction archive of the series Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. All the fanfictions here are written about the various Senshi, and basically, their love. For example, in the Moon & Mask archive, there are stories about Usagi/Serena and Mamoru/Darien's love (duh), and in the Venus archive, there are stories about Minako/Mina and her various loves. We do also accept non-romantic stories about the senshi, but our main focus is romance.

How often do you update?

As of right now, we do not have a definite updating schedule. We try to update at least once a week, depending on our schedules. Within each week, we may update once, or every day, again, depending on the amount of time we have on our hands. We only allocate a certain amount of stories per update (your story will be added in a first come first serve manner) so if you send one story in one week and it doesn't show up until the next, don't worry about it. Hopefully later on we will have more regulated schedules and we'll be able to update on a more regular and scheduled basis.

How do I submit my story?

We have a seperate page with all the submission inoformation, but I'll put up some basic facts here. First of all, attatch your story, DO NOT embed it within the context of your email. If you somehow cannot attach your story, contact Miss Karo and she will work something out with you. Within the email, you have to include certain information, such as which characters the fic is based upon, the genre (for non-romance fics), and your name. How do I wrap my story?

Wrapping is a very simple process. However, it is very time consuming. Therefore, wrapping is NOT required for submitting your fanfic unless you use a program such as Microsoft Notebook (any program that saves your fic as a .txt file). To wrap your .txt file, you simply have to put your cursor at the beginning of the first line in your story, and hit enter/return, then the down arrow, and repeat until you get to the end of your document. If your .txt file is not wrapped, it will appear as one long sentence. Senshi Love will not accept un-wrapped .txt files, and will send them back for wrapping.

What kinds of stories do you accept?

Senshi Love is a very open archive and will accept basically any fic that pertains to Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. However, we do not, and I repeat, DO NOT, accept hentai/lemon/ecchi fics. We have an audience that ranges many age groups, and some of our readers are fairly young. We recognize that a hentai/lemon/ecchi fic can be considered literature if well written, with a plot line, but we will not accept it for any reason. This, however, does not mean you can't have a girl love another girl, or boy love another boy, but please, keep things simple. Senshi Love will determine whether your fic is appropriate or not. If you feel that your fic should not be considered hentai/lemon/ecchi, contact me (Keisu), and I will work things through with you.

Do you edit and reveiw the stories?

As much as we would love to, neither Miss Karo nor I have the time to do so. Sometimes, we barely have time to read through all the emails and check for wrapping. Therefore, edit as much as you can, and proofread, proofread, proofread! It will make it much easier for others to enjoy your story if it is well written with proper grammar and spelling. We also do not review stories, or put in summaries.

Why isn't my story in the archives?

Either your story did not reach us, it was not in the first twenty for that weeks update, or we have sent it back due to violations of the guidelines or rules. If your story does not either make it back to you, or show up eventually in the updates or archives, it may have been deleted by the server. In this case, contact one of us, and we will do our best to recover your story. If we are unable, please, send it in again, because as they say, the more, the merrier!

I sent my story in, but it was sent back. Why?

There are several reasons for this occurence. There may have been an error in sending (such as Miss Karo's or my account freezing), or you may have violated the guidelines. For example, if you did not wrap your story, it would be sent back. Again, if your story is written poorly (in a gramattical sense), we will send it back for editing. If your story is a hentai/lemon/ecchi fic, you will recieve your story along with a request not to send it back. In all cases, if your story is sent back, by us, and not your mail server, then you will recieve a reason as to why we sent it back, and how you can make it acceptable for Senshi Love

Do I have to write my own summary?

Ah, finally, a simple quesiton. Yes. You have to write your own summary. As stated above, Miss Karo and I do not have the time available to read through each story and post a summary for it, so we require a summary for each story written by the author. And who would know the story best, the person who wrote it, or the person who read it?

Do you have any suggestions for new writers?

First of all, follow the guidelines. If you do, you've got a guarenteed place in the Senshi Love family. We hope to have a section with tips and hints about writing for new authors soon, but that will have to come once the basics of the webpage have been finished and we're fully up and running.

What program should I use for writing my story in?

Any word processor is fine. Programs such as Word and Claris Works automatically wrap your stories in their file, whereas programs such as Microsoft Notebook save as .txt files and require wrapping. But basically, its up to you!

What do I have to do in order to be able to post on the Forum?

Sadly, our forum requires that you join, and in order to do so, you must have a .NET passport (@msn.com or @hotmail.com email address). We are currently searching for a new program from which we can build a forum that doesn't require you to join or be a member of another web community.
