Title: Dying To Be Loved - Chapter Two Authors Notes: Aaaaah, the much awaited Chapter Twobwahahahaha! This is probably one of my favorite chapters, if not my only favorite. *smile smile* Disclaimers: I do not own Sailor Moon, although I wish I did. But, seeing as I don't, then I must give credit to the Great and Ingenious Naoko Takeuchi, the creator of Sailor Moon. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 Chapter Two: The problems with a double bed. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 Darien heaved a sigh and dropped his bags on the small double bed. He hoped Andrew had made sure that the hotel provided a bed that was longer than six feet, or else his feet would be sticking over the edge...again. He stretched, before setting to the task of unpacking. Serena stepped out of the shower, and began to brush her long hair. She thought she heard a thump on the floor, but figured it was just her imagination. She heaved a light sigh, before setting to the task of blow-drying her hair. Darien nearly went through the roof when he heard the blow dryer switch on in the bathroom. Curious, he tiptoed over to the door, and slowly opened it. It creaked. Whoever was inside shrieked, followed by one thump, one thud, and the blow dryer turning off. The door swung fully open, revealing... "Meatball head! What are you doing in MY room?!?" "Excuse me, MR. Chiba, but I was specifically told that my room was 5907! So GET OUT!" Serena cried, holding the hair dryer up, as if it were a weapon. She clung to the short towel around her body with her other hand. "The LEAST you could to is let me get dressed, and THEN we can sort this out! Jeez, can't a girl get some privacy?" With a quick nod, he stepped out of the bedroom, and flopped down on one of the overstuffed chairs. Serena soon came out, dressed in a short blue skirt and pink tank top with a yellow duck in the middle. Darien loaded up his stuff, and together they trooped to the lobby, only to be told that they had reserved the "last villa available". Both knew they couldn't switch hotels, and figured it would be best if one slept on the couch, while the other took the bed. But when they arrived back at the now infamous villa, it hit them both like a ton of bricks falling on their heads. "THERE'S NO COUCH!" they shouted in unison. It was already late, and way past dinner time, so there was nothing to do but go to bed. But HOW could they go to bed, if they had to SHARE one? "I'll take the left side, you take the right side. If we sleep on the edges, we won't touch, and it'll be fine." Darien reasoned. So Serena took her pajamas and entered the bathroom, while Darien changed in the bedroom. When Serena reentered the spacious sleeping area, she stopped dead in her tracks. A war began to wage between amazement over how, well, GOOD Darien looked, or humor over the fact that his body barely fit along the length of the bedand he was sitting up. Humor won over, and soon, Serena was on her knees, with tears streaming down her face, cracking up at the sight of him. "What's up with you, Meatball head?" "You
should see
how funny you..." Serena trailed off, surrendering to another attack of the giggles. Darien scowled at her, grumbling about ditzy blondes and test papers. Serena finally caught her breath, and launched herself onto the bed. She was startled by a loud thump, and a groan of "Now you've done it" from Darien. She glanced up to see him rubbing the back of his head. She mumbled a quick apology, before rolling over, and falling asleep within minutes. It took Darien a while to get used to the length of the bed. As he expected, the bed was several inches too small for Darien's large six-foot two inch frame. He finally managed to drift off, despite the fact that his feet were sticking over the edge. A few hours later, Darien was woken by a loud yelp, and the sudden presence of a small, female body clinging to his. Drowsily, he turned a little bit, and found Serena herself clinging to him. "Darien," she whimpered, "I'm scared. Is it a hurricane?" She gave another little yelp as thunder cracked again, booming over the small villa. "Ooooh, it's a tsunami, isn't it? We're gonna die here! And a boy hasn't even kissed me yet!!!!" the small blond wailed. That comment startled Darien, and a whole new side of his mind started working. At first, Darien tried to banish the thoughts racing through his mind. But they were so strong that they soon took over his entire mind. **If it's a kiss she wants...it's a kiss she'll get!** Darien slowly closed in on Serena, who was now staring up at him, trembling in his arms. Serena noticed that the gap between their faces was getting smaller and smaller. "Dari en! What the...!" He shushed her by pressing his finger against her lips, which began to tingle... "Shhhh." and thenhe kissed her. It started slowly, soft and tender, almost like a friendly "Oops! I missed the cheek!" kiss, but Darien apparently didn't want to be "friendly" with Serena. He suddenly felt emotions he'd never known before, and he liked them. He slipped his arms around her waist, crushing her up against himself. His tongue darted into her mouth, and for a few moments, Serena found herself enjoying the kiss. But then she jerked away, realizing just who was stealing her first kiss, and glared at Darien. *THUD* "MEATBALL HEAD!!!! Owwwwwwww!YOU IDIOT! WHY'D YA HAVE TO GO AND PUSH ME OFF THE BED!!" Darien snapped. "Your mean. MEAN, I tell you, pure EVIL!!" Serena cried back, before turning and covering herself completely with the covers. Darien tried to climb back in bed, but each attempt failed due to the little foot that would pop out and repeatedly kicked him where no man deserved to be kicked repeatedly. He finally resorted to waiting for Serena to fall asleep, before attempting to crawl back into the bed. This time, the foot didn't greet him. *************************** You like? I hope to get Chapter Three out soon!
