Today marks the last leg of our journey. We depart from Dayton, Ohio a bit before daybreak, and we drive all day, until we get somewhere. Somewhere good. We zip through Ohio. Unfortunately, that only gets us to Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is huge. It takes us about 7 weeks just to get through it. Well, maybe it's just a couple of hours, but it's too long. After Pennsylvania comes New Jersey. We cross the Delaware (just like Washington) and I can already feel the eastern love. The drivers got more agressive. The landscape became uglier, and you could almost feel the air getting dirtier. Oh, the joys of coming home. A quick trip over the Tappan Zee brings us to our destination state. New York, New York, if I knew the rest if the words to that song, I would write them here. What a wonderful town, indeed. I thank you for coming along with me on this wondrous journey. I had a good time in Colorado, and I learned a lot. Who knows - one day I might even go back... Until then, all I know is there's no place like home...

Almost there...
Taking George Washington's lead... Crossing the Delaware
Come On - the sign says Buttzville!
Oh, how I missed the bright city lights... Traffic on the Tappan Zee
Home again, home again. I love you, New York.
.
Thank you, Pennsylvania. Good to see a state with some manners.
Trees mark our return to civilization. Sort of...
HA! The corn is dead. Do you see it? Ha! Dead corn, dead corn, la la la la la la.
Man, this is some funny road stuff. Apparently, Pennsylvania is "special." On the left, that's just one section of the road. They use a stretch of Pennsylvania highway to test road paint patterns. No, seriously. All sorts of colored lines and dots and stuff. It's more than amusing. It's hella-musing. Oh, man. So, when you wonder how many times they tried before they got those lines right on your road - well, they figured it out in Pennsylvania. Minus one for the special state.
Oh, and to help out all the Pennsylvania drivers they confused the heck out of with those road test patterns, this is great. They put dots in the middle of the road. Apparently, there should be two dots between you and the car in front of you. That's the safe driving distance. Minus another one for the special state.
