Based on high education and section third point 2 Government rule No. 29/1990. Education on Vocational High School to aim at :

1. Emphasize the student preparation to entry the sphere of activity and also to develop the professional attitude.
2. Preparing the student in order to able choose their carier, to able competention and to able improve themselves.
3. Preparing the worker of middle level to fill up the need of business world in industry at the time and also for the future.
4. Preparing the graduate in order to able the productive, adaptive and creative citizen.

Based on the aim above, therefore Vocational High School 4th Makassar as one of Tourism and Business and Management have 5 department and study program such as :

Based of evident and more to increase from the graduates quality, in orde able surpass and coming on the good sphere of activity in Makassar or South Sulawesi and prepare the intelectual human which not only know about theory or practice but it want to create student who could compact between theory and practice in full unit according their each specialitation.

The time of study in Vocational High School 4th Makassar are three years in behalf of 9 quarterly. The caracteristic of the curriculum such as :

1. Orientation to the business and industrial world.
2. Solid education in School and business/industrial world.
3. Introducing with Business and Industrial world.
4. Training/exercise practice.
5. Theory study to support practice.
