Blading Style: Tyson's style of blading is to "kick it up freestyle" which means, that he prefers to go at his battles head-on, without any strategy and win using instinct. He may still be an amateur but with the help of his friends and Kai, he makes a great addition to the Blade Breakers' lineup.

Description: Tyson is the main character of Beyblade, and he's your typical anime hero. He is hot-headed, stupidly brave, and loves food. Tyson is a strong-willed boy who's not afraid to speak his mind. Tyson isn't a born leader, yet because of his magnetic personality and his self-confidence, people seem to gravitate toward him. No situation is too risky for Tyson, and he often jumps in blind, relying on his skill and natural talent to win the day. Tyson is an only child and since his father is an archeologists, he frequently leaves on digs, so Tyson was more or less raised by his well-meaning yet crazy Grandpa. 

He got into Beyblading like any normal kid in the neighborhood, but his whole life changed the day he met Kai. After he lost that match, he became determined to beat him and because of his determination, the family sword "Dragoon" bestowed onto him the mystical powers of the Dragoon bit-beast.  The Dragoon bit-beast is a worthy opponent and relies on it's  awesome power to win battles.

Later on in the series Tyson wins the Beyblade Regional championships in his hometown beating Kai for the crown. But to make matters even better, the tournament was actually just a test to find the best Bladers in the area to represent Japan in the World Championships, and the other 3 members selected were the finalists of the tournament including Max, Ray, and of course Kai who was elected Team Captain. The team named themselves the BladeBreakers and had many hard struggles but eventually Tyson helped the BladeBreakers win the championships in the final round.

Description: Kai is a born leader who can convey his emotions with a look and because of his strong physical presence, everyone respects him… or else! Although Kai is a top-level competitor, he has always preferred to keep to the shadows rather than the bright lights of the Beystadium. Kai would never admit this but he has great respect for his teammates and thinks of them as friends.

Kai is the most stoic member of the BladeBreakers and Beyblade series. Kai is a Beyblader that takes things seriously and should always be considered dangerous in and out of the Beyblade dish. His abilities and his ability to adapt to new techniques make him a superior all-round Beyblader. Kai understands the game better then anyone but he doesn't think of it as a game, but as a challenge he MUST overcome. He shows no mercy to his opponents or allies. He is the lone Wolf and Captain of the BladeBreakers. It would seem that both roles would contradict each other, but somehow Kai pulls it off.

Kai's approach to Beyblading is having a strong offence while having a strong defence. But his favourite style of play is to make sure he defeats his opponents hard and fast leaving them wondering what happened. Fortunately for him he has inherited the Awesome Dranzer and all it's powers that excels in both Defence and Offence. But even luckier for him he inherited the fearsome and all-powerful Black Dranzer. With both bit-beasts Kai in his possession he was the most powerful blader in the world....but instead Kai chose not to betray his friends and gave up this awesome power for the greater good. Kai has then gone under retirement as a blader but we can never be sure how long this retirement will last and when the world will one day one again feel the wrath of Kai and all his glory.

Blading Style: Max's preferred style of Blading is being on the Defence. He mainly likes to outlast his opponents in spinning, making them do all the work instead of him. He does have a strong offence too if the time comes. Unlike Tyson Max will use his head and always tries to think of new strategies to beat his opponents and his Bit-beast Draciel isn't a pushover either. With all his Defensive and strategic maneuvers, he provides a perfect balance on the Bladebreakers.

Description:   Max is like a brother to Tyson. Bright, cheerful and always ready to take on a new Beyblade challenge, Max is the best friend any kid could have. He is a true strategist and when it comes to battling he is a fierce competitor, always looking for a new angle or tactic to win. Max is a master of the defensive move and what makes his methods even more interesting is the fact that his style is completely opposite of Tyson's. Max is a hyper ball of energy that just won't quit. He's also a cheerful and friendly guy that you just can't help but make friends with (unless you're Kai of course), and always tries to bring out the best in people. Max is an only child and his parents are either separated or divorced. Max lives with his Dad in Japan where he owns a Beyblade shop, and his mom  Judy lives in America as the head of the high-tech Beyblade team, The All-Starz. Max first met Tyson and The Chief by saving a helpless puppy that would've fell off a waterfall. After that, Tyson, Max, and Chief clicked and has been the best of friends ever since. Especially after Tyson learned of his Dad's Beyblade shop.

Max first got his Draciel when he was facing Kai in the regional championships and a spinning Beyblade broke his Grandmother's pendant he was wearing for good luck. Inside was the bit-beast Draciel which Max used for the first time. Even though he still lost to Kai and Dranzer that day, he was still happy for receiving a bit-beast of his own.

Blading Style: Ray's style of Beyblading is a combination of both offence and defence. He really likes to use the dreaded Tiger Claw attack to shred his enemies' Beyblade to pieces. Ray's skills are superb, and he may not have Analytical mind of Kai, but instead he uses his past experiences to come up with strategies against opponents. These skills make him an integral part of the Bladebreakers and helps provide the balance.

Description: Ray is a friendly and honest person....that is once you earn his respect with courage, spirit, and determination. Until then, Ray can be a rude, and egotistical jerk (but he's still  so cool when being one). Ever since Ray was a little kid, he's been Beyblading, and every time Ray was undefeated. When he grew older Ray was bestowed the honor of his bit-beast Driger by the tribal elder who also happened to be his best friend Lee's Grandfather. Receiving the power of the legendary Bit-beast Driger, was a symbol that Ray was chosen to be the leader of the White Tiger Beyblade team. Ray felt that he didn't deserve Driger's awesome power, so he decided to travel the world to get better and improve his skills, so he could finally feel like he earned Driger. Ray went undefeated the whole time and that's when Mr. Dickenson came in and brought Ray to Japan's regional Qualifier.

The Regional Championships is when Ray first met Tyson and lost for the first time ever in his life, and then he realized that if he joined the Bladebreakers then he would become an even better Beyblader and really earn his Driger bit-beast. So far, Ray has had a Rocky start with his new team of the Bladebreakers, as when they went to the Asian Championships he met up with his old team that he abandoned before, but this time not everything was nice. His old team, now led by Lee his once best friend had decided revenge upon Ray in which when they defeated him in battle, Ray must give up the power of the White tiger bit-beast, Driger. Not only did Ray have that on his mind, he had tried to reconcile with his "first love" Mariah who had also given up hope on Ray. So in the match against Mariah, Ray was holding back because of his feelings for her, but luckily he overcame it because of Kai no less, and won the match. Not only did he win that match, Ray showed Lee fully of all the skills and tricks he's learned, and defeated him to win the Asian tournament for the BladeBreakers but more importantly made up with his old friends and set off again to win a World Championship with some new ones.

Description: Kenny a.k.a. "The Chief" isn't exactly an official member of the BladeBreakers but everyone counts him as one of the team excluding Kai, but including himself! Basically Kenny is the smart computer guy with almost all the knowledge of Beyblading...yet possess absolutely no skill of his own whatsoever. To make matters even worse, his very own bit-beast Dizzi is trapped in is laptop due to a freak electrical accident! And if that's bad enough she ends up being a wise-cracking smart alec, who'll help you in a jam...if she's in a good mood to give it to you that is.

Chief first met Tyson on the day when a bully named Carlos went around challenging kids for their Beyblades, and Tyson put a sop to him thanks to help and advice from The Chief. After the formation of the Bladebreakers, Chief was more or less brought into the group by Mr. Dickenson to help improve and upgrade thier Beyblades. 

Chief is sorta the unofficial coach of the Bladebreakers. He spends almost every waking moment trying to find ways to improve his team well...that's a lie. He mostly helps out only Tyson and only occasionally helps out the rest of the team, maybe it's because the others are so much more better off then Tyson but nevertheless Tyson is usually his top priority. Also, whether it's upgrading their blades or creating a new training regiment he's still always be there to help you out in a jam, if of course Tyson isn't first in line which he always is. Chief is also one of the VERY bossy types and likes to order people around especially with Tyson, but that's because he has to in order for his team to win. Even though Chief isn't really a BladeBreaker, he is an important part of the team and they would be nowhere without him.

Description: Physically, he may look old, but don't let that fool you. Schooled in the old world of martial arts, grandfather is twice as strong as any man his age, both physically and mentally. He is kind and a natural teacher, imparting his knowledge to his one and only grandson, Tyson. Grandfather is the type of man who allows his grandson to make his own mistakes in life. His voice is gentle and firm and his wisdom is infinite.

Description: Lee is the leader of the White Tiger team, and believes that it is he, and not Ray who is the rightful heir to the White Tiger Bit. Lee is filled with a simmering rage, to the point of no longer thinking with a clear head. His anger at Ray has consumed him, and he trains constantly to prepare for his inevitable match with his former best friend. He can come off as arrogant and overbearing, and isn’t afraid to speak his mind, no matter who it may offend. Lee is known for letting his pride get the better of him, and can be especially stubborn when he thinks he’s right...which just happens to be ALL the time!

For all his faults, Lee is an honorable competitor, and no matter how misguided his mission may seem to others, he truly believes he’s doing the right thing. His loyalty to his team is very strong, which is why he felt so utterly betrayed by Ray’s sudden and unexpected departure.

Description: Mariah may come across as tough, intense and all business...but she also has a sweet natured side that she tries to keep hidden, as she feels it makes her look weak. She uses sarcasm and snobbishness as a shield to keep anyone from getting too close. Mariah is committed to her teammates, especially Lee, who she looks to as a brother. Mariah is the youngest member of the team, and as such will sometimes act spoiled or pull a tantrum before she can catch herself.

Thanks to the extensive training she received from Ray as a child, she has become one of the fiercest and most gifted competitors on the Beyblading circuit. Because she has spent most of her life in a small town, she shows an abundance of ‘street smarts,’ but has limited world experience.

Mariah was badly hurt by Ray’s sudden departure from the team, and outwardly shows him resentment and contempt. But deep down she still harbors strong feelings for him, and even understands why he felt he had to leave.

Description: Kevin may be small in stature, but he more than makes up for what he lacks in height, with his quick reflexes, and endless ability to annoy. Like a living ball of kinetic energy, Kevin can bounce in with an endless volley of insults and then spring away before you even have the chance to respond. He always seems to be underfoot at the most inappropriate of times, but when he’s needed most is when he tends to be nowhere in sight. Kevin’s greatest asset in battle is his mouth...as he uses sarcasm, and verbal jabs to get his opponents attention in the heat of battle. He gets under their skin like a buzzing mosquito, and then, when they are suitably distracted, he swoops in for the sneak attack.

Description: Gary is the very definition of a gentle giant. He’s pretty shy, and tends to keep to himself when he’s not at the Beystadium. But don’t let his calm, quite demeanor fool you, in battle he is a dominating opponent using his size and strength to his advantage. Beyblading is the one thing that really brings Gary out of his shell, and his confident, overpowering presence at the dish is a testament to that. His love of Beyblading is only surpassed by his love of all things culinary. In fact, Gary has lost more than his share of battles thanks to either over-eating before hand, or being too hungry to concentrate on his match. Still it’s hard to stay mad at such a loveable, teddy bear of a guy.

Description: Michael is the team leader of the All-Starz, and likes to remind people of that every chance he gets. He’s arrogant and headstrong, always finding ways to blame others for his own mistakes. Michael doesn’t train very hard at Beyblading, figuring he’s already a match for any competitor that’s thrown at him. After all, his high-tech Beyblade does most of the work anyway, so why should he bother to break a sweat. Michael saves his energy for the baseball diamond, and the television cameras...his two favorite things in life.

Michael is a reluctant member of the team, preferring to soak up all the glory for himself, even though it’s his teammates who do a lion’s share of the work. When the entire team combines to win a hard-fought battle, it’s Michael who quickly claims the credit. As far as he’s concerned, he’s the superstar of the group, while the rest of his teammates are just tagging along for the ride. This of course couldn’t be further from the truth.

Rather than use a traditional arm launcher, Michael throws his Beyblade into battle in the form of a smokin’ hot Fastball. It’s the one moment in Beyblading when his considerable Baseball talents get a change to shine!

Description: Steven is a true jock, through and through. He’s tough, brawny, ultra-competitive, and hates losing more than life itself. Steven never has a lot to say, preferring to let his actions speak louder than words. He’s not the most graceful athlete in the world, but he plows into battle with all the force of a locomotive, and the speed to match. Steven rarely cracks a smile, using his intense stare to further intimidate his opponents. Steven would never back down from a challenge preferring to battle hard and lose, than not battle and save face. As a man of honor, when Steven does lose (which is very infrequently) he refuses to make excuses for his performance, preferring to admit that he’s been beat fair and square (unlike some of his teammates).

Rather than a conventional launcher, Steven boots his Beyblade into battle with the strong leg of a seasoned football kicker.

Description: Eddy is a bit of a fun-loving free spirited dude, who definitely has plenty of game! Just as much a Harlem Globetrotter as a Pro B-Ball player, Eddy loves to impress the crowd with his tricks. He takes Beyblading seriously, but he’s able to compete in a manner that shows off his sense of style, and creative flair for the sport...while obviously having fun doing it. His height and speed give him a definite advantage over a lot of his opponents...but he never looks down on them, preferring to think of them as his equals. Of course this never stops him from wiping the court with them, but hey, it’s the thought that counts. Eddy’s basketball is a natural extension of his arm, and he’s rarely (if ever) seen without it...even during a Beyblade battle.

Eddy launches his Beyblade, as if he were leaping to sink a slam-dunk...clocking in as much airtime as he can in the process!

Description: Emily comes across as a helpful, friendly sort, but she also has a secretive crafty side that she is quick to utilize when something she really wants is on the line. She’s a bit of a Jack-of-all-trades, splitting time as an expert level Beyblader, a Tennis Phenom, and a brilliant scientist.  She’s also nearly as skilled with Computers as Kenny, which is why Judy has hired her as her second in command, at the BBA laboratories.

As far as the All-Starz go, Michael may be the ‘official’ team leader, but Emily is the brains off the operation, and is usually the one pulling the strings from behind the curtain. She is a master strategist, and has ten possible solutions ready at her fingertips for every problem that arises. She has a strong competitive side, and comes down hard on herself, if she feels like she didn’t give something her all. For Emily, failure is a sign of weakness.

Emily uses a unique Beyblade launcher that is in the form of a tennis racket. She serves her Beyblade into battle with enormous speed, and ace precision.

He was the third of the Majestics to battle the Bladebreakers.

Description: Mr. Dickenson is a representative of the BBA (Beyblade Association) and is responsible for the creation of the Bladebreakers team. He is the glue that keeps the team together even though their toughest challenges. He is a jolly sort, who always seems to have a twinkle in his eye. One time, he tricked the Bladebreakers into having their own journey through Europe to meet the European beybladers.

Occupation: Works for Biovolt to train and brainwash kids to think beyblading is their life.
Description: He is the person under the control of training the kids for Biovolt. When Kai was little, was sent to the Abbey where Borris taught him to beyblade and become a full-fledged beyblader. Voltaire is the master mind behind all of the Bladebreakers' problems.
