| League Rules 2006/2007 | ||||||
| The rules here are simple: 14 people will put in $10 each and pick some players. The person who ends the season with the most points is the winner. Winnings are divided as follows: 1st Place: $100 2nd Place: $30 3rd Place: $10 Each participant will draft 4 forwards, 2 defencmen and 1 goalie. Trading will only be permitted from the time the final draft selection is made to before the puck drops on October 4th. Participants will be allowed to drop a player 3 times a season for any reason (unproductive, injured, suspended) but must replace that player with one not on any other participants roster and can not reclaim the first player unless the participant uses another drop. Trades: i) Trades must be completed before the first game on October 4th, 2005. ii) Trades must be approved by both parties and a third (myself) before being completed. iii) Trades must be equal, meaning, no one may gain an extra player on their roster or be short a player on theirs. All trades must be player for player, not 2 players for one...rosters are set at 4-2-1. iv) No trades are permitted following the opening faceoff on October 4th, 2005. No exceptions Drops: i) Everyone is permitted 3 drops a season for players. ii) Drops are effective midnight the day of the drop and can be reversed anytime leading up to that. iii) To ensure no one tries to cheat into 10 additional points for GAA, no Goalie drops are permitted after the All-Star break to ensure you don't go hunting for the goalie with the best GAA...if a Goalie drop is required after the All-Star break (i.e. injury) you will sadly have to forfit any chance of best GAA points. iv) A player must be picked up following a drop. v) Once a player is dropped, all points gained from that player up until the drop will be kept. A player picked up following a drop will only gain you points from the day he is picked up. In other terms, Dropped Player A's point total until drop + Picked up Player B's point total after drop = Your point total. vi) Drops are free during the preseason following the completion of the draft up until the start of the first regular season game. vii) For the 2007/08 season, free drops are still permitted after the first 2 regular season games between the Ducks/Kings on Sept. 29th and 30th up until the 4 PM games on Oct. 3rd. However, if a King/Duck player is involved in the drop or pick-up, a drop will be used. Any other player on the 28 other NHL teams dropped or picked up in this time period shall be free. Points will be given as follows: Goals: 2 Points Assists: 1 Point Wins (Goalies): 2 Points Shutout Wins (Goalies): 3 Points* Best Goals Against Average (Goalies): 10 Points# *Shutout Wins will count as 2 points for the win, and an additional 3 points for the shutout (5 in total). #Best GAA will occur at the end of the season where the winner will recieve an additional 10 points. (Note: A goalie must play a minimum of 20 games to be qualified for the bonus points). Any questions, concerns, trades or drops, please contact Scott! |
