Les Invalides

Napoleon's tomb is at a place called Les Invalides, originally built by Louis XIV (of Versailles fame) as a hospital for injured soldiers and a church. The church portion is now the home of Napoleon's Tomb and the hospital is now the Musée de l'Armée, a comprehensive war museum.

As you can see, it is a huge sarcophagus.  He apparently is dressed in the green uniform of the Chasseurs de la Garde and is encased in six coffins, all stacked inside of one another like a Russian doll. Starting from the inside the caskets are made from: iron, mahogany, two of lead, ebony, and the outermost, the one that is seen, is red marble. The tomb rests on a pedestal of green granite and is surrounded by 12 victory pillars.
