The large glass pyramid in center is the main entrance to the museum. It takes you underground where you purchase your entrance tickets.

 Victoire de Samothrace, sometimes called "Winged Victory". The Greek Goddess of victory is called Nike, so the statue is also known as "Nike of Samothrace", and is thought to have been commissioned between 300-190 BC to commemorate a naval victory.
