Opening Comments:
Liz M. asked about service year pins.  Do the years spent in Cub Scouting count as scouting years?  Adults receive 40, 75-year pins, etc.  The back of the cards say scouting years.  Brian L. to check into & report on.

    3.      Research Committee for trips.-this idea was to form a committee to help the boys plan large
Events or trips.  Chris B. to draw up draft of ideas before we bring this up at a parents meeting and try to get volunteers to help with planning.  This will be discussed again next time.

announcement about dues, "ONLY 4" boys PAID their dues at the Court of Honor.
    5.      Going and Coming at Events- what constitutes as being "AT" the camp out was tabled to next meeting.

To be discussed at this month's Green Bar-tomorrow
------Weekly meeting format-how did it go at Green Bar
------Program Time "Etiquette & Control" Ideas

New Business: none

Other Business-
    1.   MONEY- (I moved this topic here for reporting rather than when it came up under canoes)
When we were discussing canoes, the topic of the cost and how much money the troop has in the treasury became an issue.  It has been said that we may have X amount of dollars, but we may have restrictions on some of the money-i.e. what's popcorn, a possible World Jamboree fund, etc.  The leaders would like to find out what's discretionary and what is restricted.  It was hoped that Betty Jo would have a report at the next parents meeting.  It was suggested that we might need to start using a spreadsheet for recording.  Which also brought up that maybe we need a budget to help assess how much money is spent per event and therefore where we might need fundraisers.
