"Angel" Our Precious Little Angel returned to live with her Heavenly Father only 6 hours after she was brought into our life. Although her stay was only short she touched our hearts immensely. I will never forget the day she was born... During my pregnancy I had been leaking Amniotic fluid. It seemed that at least once a week I was running to the doctor's office or sometimes the Emergency Room. The doctor was unable to detect that it was in fact amniotic fluid until one night I went into labor and delivery and made them test me. The test came back what I had been trying to say all along. They did an ultrasound and saw that there was hardly any fluid around the baby so I was admitted to the hospital and was to have flat bed rest for as long as possible. I was only 25 weeks pregnant. Doctors were concerned about me catching an infection due to the small tear in the amniotic sack. I could get sick as well as my baby so I was offered the choice of an abortion. I didn't even hear them out before I strongly declined. One week later I caught the infection the doctors had feared. My whole body hurt and soon began to have contractions. Because of the prematurity and the loss of amniotic fluid the doctors expected my daughter to be still born. Well, they didn't know how tough my little Jordan was. At 6:02 PM, on August 16, 1993, she came out kicking and yelling announcing to the world that she had made it! 1 LB 5 oz. and 12 inches long. Jordan was rushed to NBICU and put on a respirator. I was able to see and touch her but not hold her. She was so beautiful. Like a little Angel from Heaven. Only 6 hours later I was called to the NICU and told that her heart was weak, she wouldn't be with us much longer. One of the doctors who was LDS asked me if I wanted him to give her a blessing. I nodded yes. With in a few minutes after the blessing my Angel left her tired body behind and flew up to live with her Heavenly Father. We feel so blessed to have held an Angel in our arms for just a few moments. We know that Jordan is in a beautiful and wonderful place waiting for her Mommy and Daddy to rejoin her. Until that day...we have our own special Guardian Angel to watch over us. Jordan | Ethan | TessaOur BabyOur Photo Album
