| August 30th, 2004 Today is 15 weeks! I am about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and now weigh about 2 1/2 ounces. I'm busy inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid, which will help develop the air sacs in my lungs. My legs are growing longer than mys arms now, and I can move all his joints and limbs. That means my hands are more functional, too. Sweat glands are appearing, and although my eyelids are fused shut, I can sense light. I also have taste buds. A |

| August 9, 2004 Today is 12 weeks!! Welcome to MONTH THREE!!! Less than 200 days to go (199 to be exact until February 21st, 2005) I am now officially a fetus, no longer an embryo! We visited the doctor again today. Mama got to hear my heartbeat for the first time today! It was in the 150's. Her blood pressure was a little high, and now we have to watch it and make sure it doesn't stay high or else she might need some medicine for it. I weigh about 14 grams and am about 2 1/2 inches in length now. My eyes and ears have moved to pretty much their proper positions on my face now. |
| August 16th, 2004 Today is 13 weeks! Welcome to the Second Trimester!!! Relief! Mama is starting to feel a little better. Mornings can still be a little tough, but usually the rest of the day is OK. I'm weigh about 1 ounce by now and I'm about 3 inches. My arms and legs are getting longer. I can even bend my arm at the elbow now. |
| August 23rd, 2004 Today is 14 weeks! I have fingernails and I can now kick, swallow and move around. Crown to rump, I am about 3 1/2 inches long, and weigh 1 1/2 ounces. My body is now growing faster than my head. My eyebrows are beginning to grow and the hair atop my head is sprouting About now, I can grasp, squint, frown, and grimace. I may even be able to suck my thumb. |
| August 26th, 2004 Major organ development should be finished around today. Yey!!! All I need to do is get everything to grow bigger and stronger now! |
