| The schools of Dawson and Verdon were consolidated in 1960. The new larger Dawson-Verdon School was housed in a two level brick building in Dawson, Nebraska, built in 1920 and was still used when the district made the decision to split and combine with Falls City to the East and Humboldt to the West, effective for the 2004-05 school year. |
| Fourty-four classes have graduated from the Dawson-Verdon School and many unforgetful memories were created through associations with DV. |
