| April 1--Leave class in York, train to London Luton, Airplane to Madrid, arrive about 10PM, stay at "Ole International Hostel" 2nd-Madrid (Prado, Templa de Debod) 3rd-Madrid 4th-Toledo 5th-Toledo 6th-Eurail to Ronda 7th-Tarifa (Beach!!) 8th-Ferry across to Tangiers, Morocco; say "Mmm, Tangiers" while looking very colonial, and then immediately get on a train to Rabat 9th-Rabat 10th-Rabat 11th-Train to Marrakech 12th-Marrakech 13-Hire a taxi in Marrakech, take Tizi-n-Tichka Road to Ouarzazate, taking photos of the High Atlas Mountains. 14-Taxi to Boulmane-du-Dades, stopping in the Dades Valley 15-Taxi/Bus to El Rachida 16-Taxi to Merzouga, hire guide to Chebbi Erg desert, spend night in tent, hire a camel and name it Steve. 17-Rest, Back to El Rachida 18-Taxi/bus to Midelt 19-Taxi/Bus to Meknes 20-Decision--if I'm keeping up with Itinerary, go to Fes; if not, or I'm too tired and want a gap day, train to Rabat 21-Train to Tangier, ferry to Spain 22-HAPPY BIRTHDAY ME! HAPPY EARTH DAY EVERYONE ELSE! Chill on a beach in Tarifa, or somewhere with lots and lots of water 23-Start back to UK--Stay the night just inside of the Spanish Border 24-Train to Normandy Coast, view American Cemetery, D-Day beaches. Spend night in Cherbourg, France 25-Ferry from Cherbourg to Portsmouth, look around for the British Flagship (if it's in Port), go to Salisbury 26-Stonehenge, Avebury, and back to hostel in Salisbury 27-train to York, reclaim room, call home to say that I'm okay, sleep! 28--Class in York, |
